The following lesson reviews directly relate to the vocabulary and concepts presented in the Harcourt Reflections (California edition) fourth grade textbook. They also correspond to the study guidelines and chapter tests. Please feel free to modify them to best suit your students and leave any comments as you feel necessary! These took a while to create, but they’ve been well worth it!

Study Guideline Notes (Harcourt Reflections, G4)

These study guideline notes are meant to be used as guides for each full chapter of the fourth grade Harcourt Reflections social studies textbook (California edition). These are given to each student at the beginning of the chapter and can be used as checkoff sheets to self-assess for understanding before the final test. I add these to the front of student notebooks and as a class, we write a few sentences to a paragraph in order to fully answer each objective. They correlate with the chapter tests and lesson reviews available.

Online Student Vocabulary Review (Harcourt Reflections, G4)

Created via the Oswego City School District site before it was updated, the following games correspond to the vocabulary presented in the fourth grade Harcourt Reflections (California edition) textbook. We typically make it to Chapter Six by the end of the year, so I created review for Chapters One through Six. As there is no longer a way to create more games, I can not extend the reviews to the remaining chapters. If you also use this textbook, please use the review with your students!
