Accelerated Reader Point Goal Letter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Thirty Accelerated Reader (AR) points are required by the end of each trimester in order to fulfill requirements for an A grade. Your student, ___________________, currently has _______ points completed. At this point in the trimester, we should have reached approximately _______ points.
Please be sure that your student consistently reads a minimum of twenty minutes nightly. If he/she is behind in his/her AR points, be sure that the book read is an AR approved book. This will ensure that goals are met and that he/she is continuing to stay on grade level with regards to reading. If your student is below grade level, more time is necessary.
